Alexei Serebryanski, a retired SIS colonel and former foreign spy chief, made a call to President Maia Sandu, noting that division heads of the Security and Intelligence Service (SIS) have committed illegalities.
In a news conference hosted by IPN, Alexei Serebryanski spoke about the appropriation of European funds allocated for implementing projects in Gagauzia. He noted that these illegalities involved the chief of SA “Moldovagaz” Vadim Ceban and his adviser. These and other illegalities, like the disclosure of secret information by SIS employees and inciting of ethnic hatred, prevent the development of the country. “In such conditions, they have stolen European funds and smuggling flourishes. The SIS does not see all these illegalities, while Vadim Ceban dreams of becoming the new governor of Gagauzia with the assistance of the SIS,” stated Alexei Serebryanski.
He noted that Vadim Ceban is also an accomplice to the wrongdoings committed by his adviser, who created tens of anonymous Telegram channels through which he distributes all kinds of information that represents state secret and information that denigrates the people of Gagauzia.
The retired SIS colonel also spoke about the contest to fill the post of chief of the Prosecutor’s Office for Organized Crime and Special Cases, noting the SIS employees want to have such an institution under control. “We are all witnesses to what is happening around the selection of the chief of this specialized prosecutors office, PCCOCS. The ordinary people do not realize what’s going on and why the meetings of the Superior Council of Prosecutors are blocked. The SIS is not interested in any of the candidates and does its best to have this contest annulled, maximally using anonymous Telegram channels, fake websites, public figures and politicians. I note that SIS uses all the instruments available to it,” stated Alexei Serebreanschi.
According to him, the ill-intentioned SIS employees are afraid of an honest chief prosecutor of PCCOCS as they could be punished for the committed illegalities. These are issues related directly to the country’s security and its development. Therefore, Aexei Serebryanski called again on President Maia Sandu to devote attention to this case and intervene.
