A former director and two other executives at Moldova Railways will stand trial in a case of embezzlement and abuse of office, after prosecutors concluded there is sufficient evidence for a trial to begin.
In particular, the Chisinau Prosecutor’s Office is accusing the trio of misappropriating two sea containers in September 2020 and giving them to a private company based in Sadova, Calarasi. Several days later they allegedly falsified documents to conceal the misappropriation.
The suspects will be pleading not guilty.
