Former ministerial division head accused of swindling over 4m lei

A former employee of the Ministry of Transport is charged with swindling over 4 million lei. The Prosecutor General’s Office has announced that it finished the investigation into this case and sent the legal case to the Centru district court for examination, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to the prosecutors, in 2004-2006 the man, while holding the post of division head, obtained money from five persons on the pretext of starting a business. The money was used for personal purposes, trips and vacations in the EU, Canada, India and other countries. The man has been under arrest since last January.
