The former interim mayor of Chisinau, Veaceslav Iordan, the director of the Apele Moldovei Agency, has been left without the three-room flat he asked from the Chisinau Municipal Council (CMC) through the court. The Court of Appeals decided to close the case on Thursday. The writ was pronounced, although the plaintiff was not in the sitting, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to the CMC's representative, Elena Lisnic, Veaceslav Iordan did not attend the court session and did not obey previous requirements, asked by the CMC, to confirm he had submitted an application related to the litigation to the City Hall. According to the Housing Code, the flats are distributed according to the queue. Veaceslav Iordan, says the CMC representative, has not lodged any application to improve hus dwelling conditions, as was due.
Veaceslav Iordan asks for an apartment in a block on Plaiului str., 1, owned by the Moldova Railway Company (IS “Caile Ferate”). In the application submitted on June 5, the plaintiff committed to employ own resources to finalize the flat. The first court session in the case Veaceslav Iordan vs. CMC was established for June 19, but was adjourned because Veaceslav Iordan did not turn out.
The sides may appeal the writ in the Supreme Court of Justice.
