Forty-eight former female prisoners will take free hairdresser courses organized by the International Society for Human Rights (ISHR) Office in Moldova with the aim of helping them to learn a profession and find a job easier, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communique from the institution. Liubov Nemcinova, the president of the ISHR Office in Moldova, said that the hairdresser courses will last for three months. On graduation, the women will receive state certificates. “We all know that the former female convicts encounter difficulties in integrating into the society and in finding employment. We hope that these courses will help them have a better life,” Liubov Nemcinova said. The action forms part of the project “New Approach to Poverty Reduction in Moldova – Joint Efforts by NGOs and the Local Authorities” that is implemented in Moldova with financial support from the European Commission during 2009-2010. The former female convicts who want to take part in the courses are asked to contact the ISHR Office in Moldova located at 20/2 D. Rascanu St or on (+ 373 22) 43 33 27, 45 03 80. The ISHR Office in Moldova is a nongovernmental public organization founded in 1998. It is the national section of the International Society for Human Rights.
