The forensic examination in the case of the 35-year-old businesswoman, who died at the end of January in a beauty salon in the capital city, was completed. Specialists' conclusions were remitted to the criminal investigation bodies. Details about the exact causes of death will be made public when the investigation is finished.
Representatives of the Prosecutor General's Office told IPN that they received experts' conclusions. The prosecutors and the criminal investigation body are to study them in order to take the necessary criminal investigation measures.
The victim's husband Roman Babutski had previously expressed concern about the duration of the examination, saying that about a month after his wife's death, he still had no clear answers about the circumstances of the tragedy.
Minister of Health Ala Nemerenco denied that the examination had been delayed, saying that it could take three weeks and more. She noted that Ministry of Health does not have the right to pronounce on this subject as not the institution ordered the examination.
"I did not receive this examination report at the Ministry of Health. Personally, I know, but I do not have the right to make statements on this subject," said Nemerenco, when asked by journalists about this after the Cabinet’s meeting.
The businesswoman died on January 30 during cosmetic surgery at a beauty salon in the center of Chisinau. It is supposed that the woman died following the injection of a number of drugs. The owner of the salon reportedly fled the country immediately after the tragedy. Doctor Ecaterina Maniuc, suspected of having administered anesthesia to the patient, was arrested on February 7.
