The foreigners’ interest in studying in Moldova has increased significantly over the last few years. This refers to those who want to study for a license, master’s and doctor’s degrees and to those who come through international university programs. Medicine, economy, engineering, architecture, and exact sciences are the most popular specialties, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communiqué from the Ministry of Education. They include students from the European Union, the Commonwealth of Independent States, Middle East, and Africa. The foreigners who study at universities in Moldova now total over 3,000. Among the universities with the largest number of foreign students is the State University of Medicine and Pharmaceutics “Nicolae Testemiţanu”, the Free International University of Moldova, the State University of Moldova, the University of European Political and Economic Studies “Constantin Stere”, and the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova.
