Foreign Ministry modifies structure

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration's apparatus will include a new post, of secretary general (diplomatic post), Info-Prim Neo reports. According to a Government Decision, the secretary general of the Foreign Ministry will coordinate the work of all the subdivisions of the diplomatic service, deal with matters related to the international economic relations, consular affairs, logistic and financial management, organize the secretariat activities and the diplomatic archive, etc. The secretary general will be named and dismissed by order of the Foreign Minister and will be a member of the Foreign Ministry's Board. The modification of the Ministry's structure is part of the new objectives set for the Moldovan diplomatic service in connection with the opening of the talks on the new cooperation agreement between Moldova and the EU. The move is aimed at making the work of the Moldovan diplomatic missions abroad more efficient.
