Foreign minister signs consultations plan with Ukrainian counterpart

Moldova’s Foreign Minister Iurie Leanca Thursday signed the plan of consultations with the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine while in Kiev on a working visit, Info-Prim Neo reports.
In a communiqué, the Moldovan Foreign Ministry says that Iurie Leanca discussed the priorities in the bilateral relations with his Ukrainian counterpart Constantin Grishchenko. Emphasis was put on the demarcation of the Moldovan-Ukrainian state border, the necessity of strengthening the bilateral cooperation in the commercial-economic sphere, and the resolving of ownership-related problems.
Iurie Leanca also took part in an ordinary meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization for Democracy and Economic Development - GUAM. The agenda of the meeting included a number of issues of mutual interest. A separate subject was the taking over by Moldova of the GUAM presidency in 2011. Moldova has always pleaded for the development of the economic cooperation within this regional organization.
