Minister for Foreign Affairs of Finland Erkki Tuomioja will be paying an official visit to Chisinau on April 3-4, at the invitation of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Natalia Gherman, IPN reports.
According to a communiqué of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, the program of the visit includes meetings with President Nicolae Timofti, Prime Minister Iurie Leanca, and Head of Parliament Igor Corman. The meetings will focus on such issues as the bilateral Moldovan-Finish relations, especially in such areas as justice and internal affairs, the prospects of developing the commercial-economic cooperation, attraction of Finish investments to the Moldovan economy, the situation in the region, and Moldova’s European agenda.
Natalia Gherman and Erkki Tuomioja will give a news conference on April 3.
