The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration expressed its solidarity with Poland following the explosion that occurred in this country in the afternoon of November 15, IPN reports.

In a comment on the Przewodów blast, the Ministry noted that Minister of Foreign Affairs Nicu Popescu transmitted to his Polish counterpart the most sincere condolences intended for the grieving families of the innocent victims.

According to Reuters, which quoted the Polish press, two people died in an explosion in the Polish village of Przewodów near the border with Ukraine on Tuesday, with NATO allies investigating unconfirmed reports the blast was caused by stray Russian missiles. Polish Radio ZET reported that two stray missiles hit Przewodów, killing two people, without elaborating.

Russia’s defense ministry denied reports that Russian missiles had landed in Poland, describing them as “a deliberate provocation aimed at escalating the situation”.
