Whilst the National Football Division is taking a break amid Moldova's 2010 World Cup qualifiers, Division A proceeds uninterrupted.
On Sunday, Sept. 7, the teams hoping for a qualification for the top echelon of the Moldovan football played the 8th round of the Division, which brought no major surprises. Viitorul Orhei defeated Zimbru-2 Chisinau in a landslide 4:1 to remain in the lead, while the other candidates for advancement – FC Cahul and Podis – pulled off narrow wins, which brought them valuable points in the league.
