Food gets cheaper, other products – costlier

The consumer prices in Moldova have dropped by 2.4% this year. In July, compared to June, the food got cheaper – by 2.3%, while the utilities fell 0.2%. But the prices of non-food products grew by 0.6%, Info-Prim Neo learns from the National Statistics Bureau. In July, the prices of vegetables, dairy, vegetal oil and meat fell. At the same time, the prices of dietary eggs, sugar and onions grew. As for the non-food products, the prices of liquefied gas and other fuels went up, as well as the medicines and lady dresses. The prices of coal, car spare parts and accessories, clothes, footwear, video cameras, electrical appliances, furniture and building materials dropped. In July, the services of kindergartens, restaurants and international railway transport also declined, but most of the products and services stood stable.
