A performance of folk music and winter traditions entitled “Christians, Christmas has come!” will be given in the Great National Assembly Square of Chisinau on January 6, on the eve of Christmas celebrated according to the older Julian calendar, IPN reports.
According to the Chisinau City Hall, the folk music orchestra “Folklore” led by first conductor Petre Neamțu will perform together with the following soloists: Vasile Iovu, Nicolae Paliț, Silvia Goncear, Vasile Rusu, Anatol Nunu, Viorica Moraru, Sorin Zberea, Diamanta Paterău, Valentin Butucel and Valentina Rusu, Maria Stoianov and “Buciumul” Studio.
The performance will also involve the band “Milenium”, Geta Burlacu, the brass band “Chisinau” with Igor Rusu and the folk ensemble “Romanița”, the folk music orchestra “Moldovlaska” and Adriana Ochișanu, Iulian Corochi, Corina Țepeș, Igor Cuciuc, Maria Iliuț and “Crenguță de Iederă” band.
The whole Christmas evening show will be broadcast live on the City Hall’s social media sites and on Realitatea TV channel starting at 6 p.m.
