Hundreds of passengers could not reach the destination on time today, January 11, owing to the dense fog that disrupted air traffic. Thus, 17 flights were cancelled, while 35 were delayed today.
Among the cancelled flights are those to Kiev, Warsaw and Vienna. The flights to Moscow, Venice and Verona were delayed. Alina Maftei, client relationship manager of the Chisinau International Airport, has told IPN that each company decides individually how to act in relation to their passengers.
Meanwhile, the State Hydrometeorology Service extended the yellow code advisory for fog for the night and morning of January 12. The visibility will be poor, of 200 meters and less.
