One more person died from flu in Moldova. This is a man aged 48 from Nisporeni district who developed flu-related complications. According to the National Public Health Center’s vice director for epidemiological surveillance Stefan Gheorghita, the man hadn’t been vaccinated against flu and went to see a doctor too late. Eight persons have died from flu so far this season, IPN reports.
According to Stefan Gheorghita, the man became sick on February 13, but went to the hospital in three days. He was admitted to the district hospital with bilateral pneumonia and AH1N1 flu. He died two days later.
Another man, aged 39, from Balti died several days ago. He fell ill on February 11 and had symptoms similar to those of acute respiratory infections. “The man treated himself at home and went to see a doctor when his state worsened. He was admitted to the intensive care section of the Balti District Hospital,” stated Stefan Gheorghita, noting that this was diagnosed with pneumonia and AH1N1 flu.
Specialists recommend taking prophylactic measures and eating phytoncide products (garlic and onion) and products that contain vitamin C and seeing a doctor when the first symptoms appear, such as headaches, fever and cough.
