On the occasion of the 164th anniversary of the Unification of the Romanian Principalities, representatives of the Embassy of Romania in the Republic of Moldova and the administration of Moldova’s Parliament laid flowers at the monument to ruler Alexandru Ioan Cuza in Chisinau, IPN reports.
Flowers were laid by Romania’s Ambassador in Chisinau Cristian-Leon Țurcanu, Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu and secretary of state of the Department for Relations with the Republic of Moldova of the Government of Romania Adrian Dupu.
The Embassy of Romania in the Republic of Moldova noted that Alexandru Ioan Cuza was a remarkable historical figure who made an important contribution to the formation of the modern Romanian state.
