Flowers and gratitude on Teachers Day

As many as 46 teachers received diplomas and money awards from the Government on teachers’ day. Prime Minister Vlad Filat said the Professional Day of the Education Workers is a holiday not only for teachers and other employees working in the system, but for all the Moldovan people, Info-Prim Neo reports.
“For me, it is a great honor to have this meeting with you. These awards cover not even a slight part of your merit. It is a gesture of gratitude. We must work together in continuation so as to develop a modern education system,” said Vlad Filat.
The teachers invited by the Government said the reforms implemented in the education system and the European direction chosen by Moldova will contribute to forming a competitive society, with common interests. Besides the mission to offer knowledge, the teachers assume responsibility to reanimate the civic spirit among students.
Minister of Education Maia Sandu received a bouquet of white roses from the Premier, who said that by joining forces, the education system employees will manage to achieve the projected results in the shortest period.
At the end of the festivity, the teachers and all those attending were served with champagne.
