The Chisinau Municipal Center of Preventive Medicine is testing water samples taken from the Nistru water and sand samples from the Vadul lui Voda beach. There were detected eggs of parasites and bacteria that were probably brought by the floodwaters. Rerun tests will be made after the floodwaters recede so as to determine what preparations should be used to fight the helminths and bacteria, the head of the Green Areas Association Eliferie Haruta said at Monday's meeting of the City Hall, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Haruta said the part of the beach from where the water receded has been cleaned. The works go on. When all the water moves back, the sand on the beach will be loosened. Swimming and sunbathing is still banned.
