The level of water in the rivers increased following the latest precipitation and the southern part of the country may be flooded in about seven days.
“In the Nistru, the level of water rose by over 1 meter in parts. We are waiting to see what happens as a result of the flood on the Danube. We hope its intensity will decrease when it reaches Giurgiulesti,” first vice director of the State Hydrometeorology Service Elina Plesca has told IPN.
She underlined that the local floods that are possible will cause no dangerous phenomena.
