A number of flights were cancelled, redirected or delayed owing to the fog, Arina Maftei, PR manager of Avia Invest company that manages the Chisinau International Airport, has told IPN. Some of the flights were cancelled starting with yesterday evening, February 9.
The Istanbul/Ataturk flight was cancelled yesterday at 21.40. This morning, the plane to Bucharest/Otopeni didn’t take off at 07.30 as scheduled.
The plane to London/Stansted will take off with a delay of two hours. The 12.00 flight was proponed to 14.10.
The plane from Rome/Fiumicino, which was to land in Chisinau yesterday evening at 18.20, was redirected and will land at the airport in Bucharest at 11.00 today.
The Istanbul /Ataturk flight will be one hour late. The plane was to land in Chisinau at 11.10.
The Moscow/Domodedovo flight, which was to land in Chisinau at 11.15, will arrive at 13.40.
The plane from Venice/Marco Polo is almost two hours late. It was to land in Chisinau at 11.35, but is expected to arrive at 13.05.
The plane from London/Stansted will also land with a delay of about two hours. The passengers were to arrive in Chisinau at 18.40, but will come at about 21.10.
