The unsupervised play of two children ended tragically for one of them. A boy aged five was rushed to the hospital with acid burns.
The incident happened in Barnova village of Ocnita district on May 29. Head of the Ocnita Police Inspectorate Adrian Burduja has told IPN that the injured boy was left in the care of neighbors as his parents went abroad to work.
The child was playing in the yard together with another child. They found a bottle of acid in the garage. It’s not yet clear if the boy was splashed with acid or he poured it out accidentally.
The boy was admitted to the Chisinau Children’s Hospital “Emilian Cotaga”. An investigation is underway.
