Five persons aged between 18 and 31 are investigated for the robbery committed in Gura Cainarului village of Floresti district last February. The robbers broke into the home of a woman, tied her hands and legs with adhesive tape and stole money and possessions to the value of 190,000 lei, IPN reports.
The Prosecutor’s Office for Organized Crime and Special Cases said that one of the suspects is accused of deliberate causing of serious bodily injures.
As a result of searches carried out at the penitentiaries where two of the persons suspected of organizing the robbery serve time, there were seized mobile phones and improvised sharp objects. Cartridges, a bag with poppy straw and things used to take drugs were found at the homes and cars of another three suspects.
Three suspects were arrested for 72 hours, while the two who are in jail are also under investigation. They face 11 to 14 years behind bars.
