Five persons detained after yesterday nightʾs concert

The concert dedicated to the Our Language Day ended not at all well for some of the attendees. Eight persons needed medical assistance, while five persons under the influence of alcohol were detained by the police as they were breaking the public order, Info-Prim Neo reports. Gheorghe Botnariu, the head of the Interior Ministryʾs Prevention Division, told a news conference on Monday that three persons who were begging near the Great National Assembly Square were also detained. Eight persons suffered traumas during the concert. According to the Chisinau Emergency Hospital, the cases were not very serious and included a leg wound, a foreign body in the eye and a case of hysteria. The persons were given first aid on the sport and did not need hospitalization. Gheorghe Botnariuc also said that the police will step up guard at concerts in the future, especially on the Wine Day, when alcohol will be consumed “in practically industrial quantities.”
