Five parties signed in favor of strengthening the unionist forces in Moldova in a move to forge the reunification of the Romanian nation through the union with Romania. These are the Democracy at Home Party, the Liberal Party, the National Liberal Party, the Romanian People’s Party and the Save Bessarabia Union, IPN reports.

According to a press release signed by representatives of the five parties, the decision was taken following the accentuation of the danger of expansion of Russia’s influence in the Republic of Moldova through social and ethnic division and segregation methods, including hybrid ones, through methods aimed at subduing the media sector, through the illegal presence of the occupation army, taking over of strategic facilities and deserialization attempts.

The signatory parties realize that the entry into NATO and the EU and the union with Romania are the only chance, regardless of the ethnic origin of everyone, to have a safe and prosperous future.. They call on all the other parties to show the same openness so as to found a unionist movement, a political bloc that would work permanently, since it is created and until the union desideratum is achieved, so that it becomes an ordinary successor of the National Liberation Movement.
