Five new trolleybuses on route 21

Another five new trolleybuses bought by the Chisinau City Hall from Minsk, Belarus, were put into use on Monday, August 1. Gheorghe Morgoci, head of the Electric Transport Administration, said during the City Hall's ordinary meeting that the 5 trolleybuses will circulate on route 21, which links Ciocana district to Buiucani, Info-Prim Neo reports. “Today, there are 49 new trolleybuses circulating in Chisinau on routes 22, 24 and now on 21 as well. To our knowledge, five other trolleybuses will be shipped today from Minsk”, said Morgoci. The Chisinau City Hall bought 102 trolleybuses from Belkommunash factory as part of a project to modernize public transport, funded by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the European Investment Bank and the European Union. All trolleybuses will be in Chisinau by mid-September.
