Moldova’s squad won two golds, two silvers and a bronze medal at the international boxing tournament held in Kaunas, Lithuania, IPN reports.
Dmitrii Galagoț and Vasili Belous became champions. In the final of the 64 kg weight class, Galagoț beat his compatriot Mihail Kvasyuk, while Belous defeated France’s Lehot Romain in the final of the 69 kg class. In another final, Victor Karapchevski lost to Lithuania’s Vytautas Balsys.
In the 91 kg class, Andrei Zatushevski won bronze. The memorial competition “Algirdas Șocikas” brought together boxers from nine countries.
