The leader of the Moldova Noastra Alliance (AMN) Serafim Urecheanu Thursday presented the party’s election platform, which is based on five national priorities, Info-Prim Neo reports. In order to obtain [accelerated economic growth], the party aims to narrow the economic discrepancy compared with the EU by ensuring a yearly economic growth of 9-14%. Agriculture will grow by 15% in 2010 and 19% in 2014, while industry will increase by 17% during the next four years. Among other economic priorities are the promotion of information and communication technologies and development of the SME sector. In [agriculture and food industry], the AMN promises to open by four industrial companies in every village, provide the farmers with subsidies of over 40% of the purchase price of the machines, tractors and other agricultural equipment. The farmers will benefit from loans with an annual interest rate of 6-7%, repayable in up to 30 years. [Education and the youth sector] will benefit from 10% of the Gross Domestic Product towards 2014. The party intends to adopt a new Education Code and promote the conception and strategy for developing the education system in Moldova within optimum terms. It will also simplify the education program, implement information and communication technologies in the entire education system and restructure the teacher training system. The children from poor families will receive an allowance of €5,000 in several installments until they graduate the secondary school. As to [European integration], the AMN promises to implement the communitarian acquis and apply procedures identical to those required for joining the European Union. According to the party, an Association Agreement with the EU will be signed by 2012. The party also wants to improve Moldova’s Corruption Perception Index from 2.9 in 2010 to 5.0 in 2014. As regards [social solidarity], the AMN pledges that in 2014 the pensions will not be lower than the minimum subsistence level. It also promises to provide a larger number of drugs whose price is partly paid by the state. Serafim Urecheanu said that if this plan is implemented, Moldova can integrate into the EU and will become a true state of law.
