Those who want to get fishing permits will have online access to this public service. The Ministry of Environment drafted a Government decision on the approval of the concept of the automated information system “e-Fishing”, IPN reports.
“e-Fishing” forms part of the general objective to modernize and automate the process of providing digitized public services and is designed to eliminate corruption and minimize the involvement of the human factor in the authorization of sport and amateur fishing. The secondary objectives of the system are to reduce the time needed to obtain fishing permits, to increase the level of interoperability of the central and local systems, to electronically store data, to enhance cooperation and communication, etc.
According to the Pisciculture Service, almost 14,000 permits for sport and amateur fishing were issued in 2016 for a total sum of about 2.5 million lei.
