Fishing only during the day

The season of industrial fishing in rivers and lakes in Moldova will start on June 30. The ban on sport and amateur fishing was lifted on June 1. But the fishermen could fish only during the day, as at night the fishing is forbidden, Info-Prim Neo reports. Sources in the Hunters and Fishermen’s Association said that the fishing in the lakes in Briceni, Lipcani, Edinet, Balti and Orhei districts is allowed as from June 1. The fishermen can also try their luck in the lake near Ghidighici settlement. The anglers will be allowed to fish only if they have a special permit that can be purchased for 300 lei. The Association’s members can buy a seasonal permit for up to 200 lei. A permit for 24 hours costs about 30 lei. The permit holder can fish up to three kilograms of fish. The number of fishing gear will be limited. The line can have only up to five hooks. Those that will break the law will be fined 50 to 350 lei, while the fishing gear and the caught fish will be seized, Info Prim Neo reports.
