About 15,000 VAT taxpayers served by the local tax inspectorates in
Chisinau and Balti, the Comrat Fiscal Administration Division, the State
Main Tax Inspectorate and the Large Taxpayers Division will have to
submit fiscal reports through the Electronic Statement service from
January 1, 2012, the head of the State Main Tax Inspectorate Nicolae
Platon said in a news conference, quoted by Info-Prim Neo.
The given condition for the VAT taxpayers from other districts will
become compulsory starting with 2013, according to the Tax Code.
“The move is aimed at optimizing the fiscal administration process by
swifter processing the information, simplifying the fiscal reporting
procedure and reducing the human factor in the relations between the tax
inspectorates and taxpayers,” said Nicolae Platon.
The taxpayers will be provided with free assistance in accessing and
using the Electronic Statement service.
“In order to avoid crowdedness and ensure a fast connection, two new
centers for connection to the electronic reporting service were created
in Botanica and Centru districts. All the taxpayers were informed about
the necessity of using the Electronic Statement service, through the
agency of the fiscal offices serving them. About 200 economic entities
in the municipality of Chisinau subscribe daily to this service. The
informing and connection in the municipalities of Balti and Comrat will
start in November,” said Vitalie Coceban, director of the state-run
company Fiscservinform.
More than 13,000 of the about 15,000 VAT taxpayers are from the
municipality of Chisinau. Ludmila Botnaru, head of the Chisinau State
Tax Inspectorate, said the legal representatives of the taxpayers (the
manager, chief accountant and other persons empowered with the right to
sign electronic reports) must present themselves at the tax
inspectorates in Centru, Rascani and Ciocana districts to sign the
connection agreement so that everyone is connected by the end of this
year.
The Electronic Statement service is implemented with financing from the
state budget (about 4 million lei) and with the assistance of
USAID-BIZTAR Project.
