First winners of “Chisinau Open” tennis tournament

The international Under 14 tennis tournament "Chisinau Open” has closed, Info-Prim Neo reports. Russia’s Konstantin Strijkov, the favorite No. 8 of the competition, became the men’s singles champion. He won against his conational Artur Shahnubaryan in the final by 6-3, 1-6, 6-2. Alexandru Cozbinov had the best performance among the Moldovan tennis players. He went thought to the quarterfinals. In women’s singles, the main favorite of the tournament, Ukraine’s Viktoria Lushkova became winner after beating Olena Ploskina also from Ukraine by 6-4, 6-2. Moldovan players Iulia Sergheeva and Daniela Ciobanu reached the semifinals. Viktoria Lushkova and Iulia Sergheeva won the women’s doubles, defeating the Moldovan pair Daniela Ciobanu /Alina Soltanici.
