Most of the electoral violations in the first half of the day were recorded in the districts of Sangerei, Stefan Voda, Briceni, Drochia and in the Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia. Ion Manole, the head of Promo-Lex Association that detached observers all over the country, expressed his concern about the late opening of polling places and the presence of police officers inside polling places and of election posters near them, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to the coordinator of the Promo-Lex observers Corneliu Cirimpei, the election runners continue to campaign, especially in Criuleni district. A bus with election posters of the Communists Party on its exterior is traveling along the Chisinau –Criuleni road. Election posters of the Communists Party near the poling place were identified in Cimiseni village of Criuleni district. Liberal-Democrats’ posters are present in Dubasarii Vechi and Cosernita villages of the same district. The residents of Corjova are again hindered from exercising their right to vote. The Transnistrian militia increased the number of posts, surrounded the village and stepped up control at the posts. “We think that these actions aimed at intimidating the voters. In the reports we made public in the election campaign, we warned about the possibility of such acts,” Ion Manole said. Promo-Lex monitors the voting process within the Civic Coalition for Free and Fair Elections. This is the first interim report for today. Two more will be published until the end of the day. More than 2,500 long-, short- and medium-term observers are engaged in the monitoring process.
