First round of talks on social security agreement between Moldova and Slovakia

Issues related to guaranteeing the right to several categories of pensions are being discussed in the first round of negotiations on the social security agreement between the Republic of Moldova and the Slovak Republic. The talks are taking place on February 3-7 in Chisinau, IPN reports.

According to CNAS, the talks are to address issues related to guaranteeing the right to old-age, disability and survivors' pensions, as well as pensions in case of accidents at work and occupational diseases for citizens of both countries, permanently residing in the other country.

The negotiations are taking place with the participation of experts from the relevant Slovak authorities, as well as representatives from Chisinau, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the National Social Insurance House, the National Council for Determination of Disability and Capacity for Work.

CNAS states that the negotiation and signing of the Agreement will contribute to the strengthening of social security and will intensify cooperation between the competent authorities and institutions of the two states.
