First Ring festivity staged for minor detainees

Forty-two children held at the Lipcani-based penitentiary No. 2 celebrated the start of the new school year on September 1, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting the press service of the Department of Penitentiary Institutions. Officials of the Briceni district education division, the Department of Penitentiary Institutions and the Lipcani theoretical high school attended the September 1 festivity called the First Ring. The first lesson themed “Grigore Vieru – Man, Poet, Citizen” was held after the festivity. The school of the Lipcani-based penitentiary No. 2 was affiliated to the theoretical high school in Lipcani town in 2009. In order to facilitate social inclusion, the minor detainees were included in the lists of this school's students, alongside the other students.
