For the next school year, the first-nineth graders will receive textbooks free of charge, while the rent for a textbook for the tenth-twelfth grades will vary between 2.60 lei and 16.70 lei. The orders on the provision of secondary school students with textbooks and on the rent of textbooks for lyceums for the 2017-2018 school year were signed by Minister of Education Corina Fusu, IPN reports.
In a press release, the Ministry of Education says that according to the Education Code, the primary school students are supplied with textbooks free.
As many as 33 original titles of textbooks and 12 titles in translation were printed in 2016 with the Ministry of Education’s funds totaling 27.4 million lei.
