A kindergarten opened in Rusestii Vechi village of Ialoveni district, enabling access to early education for 50 children aged between three and six. No kindergarten existed earlier in this village, which is situated at a distance of 28 km from Chisinau.
This is the tenth community where a kindergarten was set up within the Global Partnership for Education project implemented by the Ministry of Education in partnership with the World Bank and UNICEF, IPN reports.
According to the Ministry of Education, 90,000 lei was invested by the local public administration and the district council in the kindergarten. The Global Partnership for Education allocated 90,000 lei for repair works and 203,000 lei for purchasing furniture, teaching aids, books and toys and for outfitting the playgrounds.
