A Grapes Festival will take place in the center of Cimislia town on September 8. The festival will bring together grape growers and exporters of table grapes from Moldova and Romania, IPN reports.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry, which organizes the event, in partnership with the administration of Cimislia district and the Association of Producers and Exporters of Grapes, informed that the festival will also involve scientists, producers of packing and equipment for processing grapes, producers of cuttings, suppliers of phytosanitary products and fertilizers. There are invited craftsmen, artistic groups and soloists.
The festival includes an exhibition of table grapes with tasting, the contests “Giant grapes” and “Best presentation at the festival” and craftsmen’s exhibit.
Also, the Agricultural Competitiveness and Enterprise Development Project invites to a National Forum of Producers and Exporters of Table Grapes themed “Grapes are Moldova’s Visiting Card”. The participants will discuss subjects concerning the table grapes industry and the prospects of developing the winemaking and winegrowing sector.
