The first Euroclub in the Transnistrian region opens in Tiraspol today, October 23. It will promote the European values among the young people. The opening will be attended by the Head of the EU Delegation to Moldova, Ambassador Pirkka Tapiola, IPN reports.
The EU Delegation supported the opening of the Euroclub, which is the 12th in Moldova. A Euroclub is a youth organization based on the interests and values of its members. Within a Euroclub, there are staged different intellectual contests, Olympiads, debates, roundtable meetings and other events centering on different topics of interest to young people.
Besides obtaining information about the EU, at the Euroclub the young people can also develop leadership skills and can exchange information with Euroclubs with experience from other states.
There are 11 Euroclubs on the right bank of the Nistru – in Chisinau, Balti, Orhei, Cahul and other settlements. No other Euroclubs will be opened in the Transnistrian region by this yearend.
