First Edition of School Olympiads Laureate Gala takes place in Chisinau

The first edition of the school Olympiads Laureate Gala ceremony took place on Saturday, May 17, at the Theoretic Lyceum “O. Ghibu”. The winners received diplomas and books on the subject they competed in, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to the chief school inspector of Chisinau municipality, Tatiana Nistreanu, 13 thousand pupils competed in the school Olympiads, of which only 312 won the first prize. The participants had the chance to train their intellectual and competitive skills, subsequently to promote the glory of their country in the international competitions, said the chief of the General Department for Education, Youth and Sport (DGETS), Tatiana Nagnibeda Tverdohleb. According to her, young talents from Moldova will open through their intellectual skills the way to a safe integration into the European family. The Laureate Gala closed with a festive concert presented by the winners of the musical municipal competitions. The Gala was organized by the DGETS with the support of the Chisinau City Council (CMC). The expenditures totaled 50 thousand lei.
