Liberal Party president Dorin Chirtoac says that no matter the outcome, the “first brick at the foundation of the unification” with Romania has been laid during these elections.
During a press briefing after the polling stations closed, Dorin Chirtoaca said that those who voted for the Liberal Party, no matter their numbers, “had the courage to break the ice”, “voted against the dictatorship of the Plahotniuc-Dodon-Shor regime, but also against the half-measures, the untruths and the lies told by some who pretend to be the saviors of the nation.”
The Liberal leader thanked everyone who participated in the election, regardless of the option they had in the voting booth. Although the results are not known yet, Dorin Chirtoaca says he is happy to know that there is some support for the Liberal Party and the Liberals will “rejoice at every vote given to endorse the ideal of unification”.
