Cristina Boaghi was named deputy minister of education by a Government decision on August 5. She studied law and worked in the Parliament’s secretariat. As Minister of Education Corina Fusu said, Boaghi is an upright person who showed commitment and professionalism.
By another decision, the Government appointed Boris Gilca as deputy minister of labor, social protection and family. Working for the United Nations Population Fund, Boris Gilca become involved and coordinated a number of important social projects.
Also, Sergiu Sainciuc and Gheorghe Turcanu were dismissed from the posts of deputy ministers of education. Based on his resignation, Eugen Bodarev was discharged from the post of director of the Agency for Geology and Mineral Resources.
The Cabinet also fired Iurie Carp from the post of director of the National Food Safety Agency. Until a new person is named, this post will be held by the Agency’s vice director Grigore Porcescu on an interim basis.
Sergiu Palihovici was appointed as secretary general of the Government. The relevant decision will take effect on August 17. Prime Minister Valeriu Strelet said ex-minister of the environment Sergiu Palihovici showed he is devoted to the public service in the posts he held earlier.
