The average selling price of firewood this year will be 580 lei/stere meter for hard species of tree, by 34 lei more than last year, and 410 lei/stere meter for soft species, up 115 lei, IPN reports.
In a press release, the Forestry Agency “Moldsilva” says the price does not include the cutting, sorting and transportation of trees. Almost 150,000 cubic meters of wood will be cut this year, between October 1 and December 31.
To be able to purchase firewood directly from forest companies, the private individuals and legal entities must present an identity card. The accounting office will issue a payment order that will specify the quantity and species of firewood and the collection time and place.
