Fires kill two

Two persons lost their lives in fires yesterday. The burnt body of a 49-year-old man was found by the fire crew in the man's home in Gura Galbenei village, Cimislia district. The second fire claimed the life of a 77-year-old woman in Cetireni village, Ungheni district.
The Civil Protection Service blame the fires on reckless smoking indoors and ignorance of basic fire safety rules in using heating stoves, but the exact causes are yet to be confirmed by investigators.
On Thursday, November 27, house fires killed three other people. The annual fire death toll climbed to 166 persons, including 11 children.
