Fires claim two lives

Two persons were killed in fires in Moldova on November 5. The carbonized bodies of the victims have been identified, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to the Emergencies Service of the Interior Ministry, an Audi-A4 car caught fire on the Chisinau-Soroca route as a result of a road accident. The driver could not be saved. The body of another man was found in a house in Sofia village of Drochia district after the firefighters extinguished the fire. Preliminary results showed the fire was caused by a lit cigarette. The 1,822 fires that happened in Moldova this year caused the death of 146 persons, nine out of whom children.
