Firefighting post opened in Moldovan village

A rescuing and firefighting post was opened in Saiti village of Causeni district. It is for the first time that such a post is set up on the initiative of and with financing from the local public authorities of the district, press officer of the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service Liliana Puscasu stated for Info-Prim Neo. Most of the firefighting posts are situated in districts. When fires happen in distant settlements, the firefighters spend more time on the road and the fire may spread. Prompt action will be taken if the post is located in the village, said Liliana Puscasu. The post in Saiti will have two firefighting vehicles and three employees who will be trained within the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service. Employees’ salaries and the costs for maintaining the post will be covered from the local budget. The village Saiti has 2 250 residents.
