A fire broke out on the morning of October 15 in the headquarters of IPN News Agency, in the Press House building, following a short circuit in an adjoining technical space, which is not managed by the agency. The incident was reported swiftly and the entire IPN team was safely evacuated.
The call to the emergency number 112 was made immediately and several employees of the agency managed to limit the spread of the flames until the intervention crews arrived.
Firefighters quickly arrived at the scene, identified the source of the fire and opened an investigation to establish the exact circumstances in which the fire started.
