A fire occurred at a parking lot on Mesterul Manole St in Chisinau in the evening of January 22. Four vehicles caught fire.
The call to 901 was made at 6:25pm. When on the spot, the firefighters saw two minibuses and two smaller cars on fire. The fire started at one of the minibuses, which was 80% destroyed. The other vehicles were affected in proportion of 75%, 30% and 10% respectively.
Press officer of the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service Liliana Puscasu has told IPN that the preliminary cause of fire is a short circuit that started in the vehicle’s wiring owing to technical faults.
The fire was extinguished in almost an hour.
