The president of the public association “Moldova mea” Fiodor Ghelici said that four years after the parliamentary elections and two years after the presidential elections, neither the Party of Socialists (PSRM) nor Igor Dodon fulfilled the promises made in the election campaign.

In a news conference at IPN, Fiodor Ghelici said the representatives of the association “Moldova mea”, who are persons of different nationalities, in the parliamentary elections of 2014 believed in the promises of the Party of Socialists. The PSRM was the party that obtained the largest number of seats of MP in those elections and should have formed a coalition with the parties of the left so as to make effort and change things in the country.  But the Socialists chose to be in the opposition and looked from aside.

The activist noted that when Igor Dodon took office of President, he should have investigated the banking fraud, but he didn’t do it and even created impediments in the investigation. Igor Dodon and members of the PSRM tell the people that pressure is exerted on the President and he is not allowed to act, but he does not give names in public speeches either or when he speaks about the oligarchs.

Fiodor Ghelici said he is afraid to imagine the costs associated with the administration of the presidential institution, especially because the President travels often abroad and goes to Moscow as if he goes to ordinary meetings there. “Why do we need such a President? Everyone asks what happened in these two years since Dodon took office of President? Did something improve? Nothing!” he stated.

According to the activist, the people are very disappointed, but Igor Dodon and the Socialists call again on these to vote for them. They promise the average salary will be €600, while the pension will be €300, the retirement age will be lowered and the pensions will be indexed two times a year. But the similar promises haven’t been delivered during many years and nothing changes.
