Fiodor Ghelici stated that the authorities, through the agency of the Ministry of the Interior, asked for information about his mental state, if he is under the supervision of psychiatrists. According to him, the decision makers of the state institutions should be subject to a mental status examination before being employed.

Fiodor Ghelici presents himself as the ambassador and resident representative of the International Organization for Economic Development (IOED) in the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine, head of the Regional Office in Moldova for Belarus, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Moldova, Romania, Turkey, and Ukraine. He is also the official representative of the IOED at the UN in Geneva, the representative of the International Congress for the Protection of the Rights and Freedoms of Citizens SHIELD and the representative of the International Union of Diplomats in the Republic of Moldova.

In a news conference hosted by IPN, Fiodor Ghelici made a public call to President Maia Sandu, saying that he voted for her and therefore has the right to call her to account. “Missis Sandu, whom do you appoint to posts? I’ve got the impression that the staff of the President’s Office, the Government, Mister Recean mandatorily and all the MPs should be today subject to a mental status examination. I consider such a thing is pressing today,” stated the activist.

Fiodor Ghelici asked President Sandu how things developed in Moldova since her inauguration, primarily in the context of declared European course. He noted that the people in this period continued to leave the county. The reintegration problem remains unsolved. Corruption flourishes in the state system. “Tell me please, where are the accomplishments that would convince me that we are really ready to integrate into Europe: what achievements do you want to go into the European Union with? Tell me at least one,” insisted Fiodor Ghelici.

He also said that when he voted in the presidential elections, he hoped that Maia Sandu will manage to bring together all those with differing opinions to a discussion table and will manage to avoid splits, including between the people from both sides of the Nistru as the people do not have what to divide. But it wasn’t meant to be.
